Overview
Allen-Bradley 1492-TIFM40F-24-2 is 40-Point Fusible Digital Termination Module for 1746/1756 I/O Systems.
The Allen-Bradley 1492-TIFM40F-24-2 is a 40-point fusible digital termination module from the 1492 wiring system. It supports 24V AC/DC operation, with 2A per circuit and 12A per module maximum current. Equipped with fuse clips, LED indicators, and fixed terminal blocks, it enables easy wiring and error reduction, compatible with 1746/1756 series I/O modules. Certified for Class I, Div. 2 hazardous areas, it's ideal for industrial automation signal termination.
Application Notes
1. Compatibility — To ensure proper operation with the I/O module, do not exceed the voltage and current ratings of the IFM. When this IFM is used with a hard contact (relay) output circuit that switches an inductive load, surge suppression must be used (e.g., a 1N4004 diode reverse-wired across a DC load).
2.Wiring — Refer to the Label Section on page174. For Field-Side Wiring Diagrams, refer to the Wiring System web site information on page200.
3. Fusing — Fuse holders are included with the IFM. Fuses (5x 20mm) are not included.
4. Isolation — The power bus, fuse clips, and blown fuse indicators are isolated into four groups of 10terminals (eight fuse clips and blown fuse indicators). This allows each group of output devices to reference a different power source.
