Overview
Sepam Series 20 is a protection relay range designed for standard distribution system applications. It provides 7 types of digital current or voltage protection for standard distribution systems, each one dedicated to a single application. 1A/5A CT + IO current connector CCA634 for Sepam series 20, 40, 60, 80.
Current transformer are connected to SEPAM series 20,40,and 80 through CCA630 or CCA634 connector.
Both are inclunding interposing CTs.
CCA630 includes 3 interposing CTs to connect 2 or 3 phases CTs.
CCA634 includes 4 interposing CTs :
3 to connect 3 phases CTs
1 for the residual current acquisition (CSH30 is now integrated in CCA634 for this function) :
- the sum of the 3 CTs
- an earth/ground CT
Function
The current transformers (1 A or 5 A) are connected to the CCA630 or CCA634 connector on the rear panel of Sepam:
The CCA634 connector is used to connect 3 phase current transformers and a residual current transformer to Sepam.
The CCA630 and CCA634 connectors contain interposing ring CTs with through primaries, which ensure impedance matching and isolation between the 1 A or 5 A circuits and Sepam when measuring phase and residual currents.
The connectors can be disconnected with the power on since disconnection does not open the CT secondary circuit.
